The painting symbolizes longevity and was created to celebrate the artist's brother's 59th birthday. The second scroll [Hunting at Shanglin Park], painted by Ssu-ma Hsiang-ju, depicts a grand hunting scene of the prince in the imperial forest during the Han dynasty. The painting features delicate brushwork and is painted mainly in shades of green.
